Iphone 4s crackling speaker when playing music

crackling noise in speakers

Unique 2G iPhone problem? Speakers only work with headphones plugged in.

Lets cut to the chase. I had bought a used 2G a while ago. I got it for a fair price considering the condition. Everything worked well; except the back housing was rather beat up with scratches and small dents. I had recently picked up another 2G. This time it was very broken and whatnot, but I mainly wanted it for it's back housing, and got it for dirt cheap. The only problem (so I thought) is that this housing is for a 16GB; whereas mine is an 8GB. Ok I can live with that though right? I just like a nice clean look and feel for my iPhone. So I swapped the housing and all went well. But when I turned it on I decided to check the camera and iPod. The camera didnt work, it would open but just stayed black. And the iPod also opened and I started a song, and it was running but no sound. SO I plugged in headphones- and the speakers work, but headphones did not. So its like things are reveresed- without headphones no sound, but with headphones plugged in,

Noise cancellation mic on IPhone 4, horrible problem when using speakerphone!

Is there a way to turn this off. I used to do this all the time when using my 3Gs. I'd call someone and put it them speakerphone. Then I would play some music or somthing wanted the other caller to hear on the other end. With the IPhone 4, tt now blocks it out completely! They can't hear anything with this noise cancellation mic! I use speakerphone all the time for business. Say I call someone and want to play a voice memo for them while on the call, now it mutes it out all they can't hear the memo. Please tell me there is a setting to "turn off" the noise cancellation mic. I can't find one. I play stuff all the time when I have someone on speaker. Whether I'm letting someone listen to a funny youtube video, a portion of a mp3 song, or an app that I want the other person to hear. Darn!

iPhone 4S static/buzzing/crackling - How come hardly anyone hears it

Here is a video I made this morning of the 3g buzzing. Its so loud the video picks it up in the background. This is my second iphone 4S. I am trying my luck again today at apple store. I really believe all of the phones have it but there is a degree of how bad this sound is. my youtube video (please be sure to increase your volume). youtube/watch?v=L3Vg7. e_gdata_player apple forums about this issue and how even with replacements the issue is not fixed. https://discussions.apple/thread/3393647 Everyone, please listen to your phone is a very quiet environment over 3g (no wifi) and run something like google maps to 3g is collecting data.

iPhone 5 - loose headphone jack, crackling when rotating plug. normal?

Hi all, When testing out the new EarPods on my iPhone 5 the other day, I noticed that the headphone jack is slightly loose (the plug has a little bit of play when wiggled) and I hear crackling/static when the plug is rotated in the jack. I tried a different pair of headphones today and noticed the same thing. In comparison, my iPhone 4's jack is still rock solid after 2 years, with the EarPods or other headphones. Should I be concerned about the slight looseness in the 5's jack? I am worried that it will just get looser over time. Also, what about the crackling sound when the plug is rotated? I've experienced that with old iPods and the like so I always assumed it was something that happened with use, not right out of the box. Thanks!

iPhone 4 - Microphone Failure / Crackling Audio

More times than not when I make or accept a call the microphone is not working. At other times crackling can be heard in the earpiece and the person on the other end hears the crackling and broken up audio from me. My son said he read somewhere of a short developing in the corner of the iPhone where the headphone connector/noise canceling mic is located. Something about a short in the noise canceling mic circuit shutting down both mics. Anyone experience the problem as I have described, if so how was it repaired? ( other than getting a new phone ) Thanks EDIT: Other then this audio problem the phone works fine.

iPhone 5 crackling on call?

Hi Everyone! For the second time now my iPhone 5 is acting up again, but this time with call quality. I'm stumped because I'm not sure if I take it to Verizon or Apple? This would be the second time in less than 2 months I need a replacement phone. I attached a video of the problem below. Thanks guys! PS. This problem is on both speaker, and not on speaker phones. Also I know the speakers are good because I just tired playing music out of them right now. youtube/watch?v=O1VOVmMcMMY
