How to Transfer Ring Tones From My iTunes to My 3G iPhone
Open the "Tones" section in iTunes to see the ring tones on your computer. If you don't see the "Tones" bell icon on the menu, open the ". " drop-down menu to see additional sections. You don't need to check or uncheck the boxes by the tones you want on this screen -- just make sure you have at least one ring tone in iTunes.
Plug in your iPhone and click the "iPhone" icon to reach the phone's Summary page. From there, open the "Tones" tab on the sidebar.
Check the "Sync Tones" box and pick either "All Tones" or "Selected Tones." If you choose "Selected Tones," check the box by each ring tone you want to transfer. Press "Apply" and wait while the phone syncs.
Open the Settings app on your iPhone to the Sounds section and tap "Ringtone" to change your ring tone.
