where are voice memos saved to?

location: apple - date: March 29, 2012

Where on the 4S are voice memos saved to? I want to access them and listen to it on the phone. Thanks.

I just converted from PC to Mac and got my iTunes content moved over. I have a question though. If I have voice memos on my iPhone, where does iTunes store those files? Also, my iTunes movies are under Username:Music:iTunes:iTunes Music:Movies. I would have thought it would be stored under Username:Movies. Is this in the right location?

Where are voice memos saved on iphone 4

I'm currently on an iPhone 4 (4.0.1 firmware) and I've been experiencing issues getting my voice memos to sync to my iTunes library. The last time this worked was August 27, 2010 which added 3 voice memos to my iTunes library successfully. Since then, I have not yet updated my firmware but have installed the new iTunes 10.0. I have 8 new voice memo recordings on my phone since the last successful sync, and I've tried syncing my phone four times today, Sept. 4, (restarting iTunes and my iPhone) with no luck. I tried recording a new voice memo to see if iTunes 10 would recognize any memos recorded after the installation but that failed as well.Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Hello, Where does the iPhone save texts and contacts? is it to the sim card or memory? I ask because I will need to change sims often and would prefer everything saved to the memory. Is this done/is there a way to do it? Thanks

On my previous phone (Nokia 5800 XM) I could choose between phone mamory and SIM card to save contacts; in iPhone, that option doesn't seem to exist. So my question is, where are new contacts saved (iPhone's memory or SIM card)? Thank you. Note: If there's a way to choose between phone memory and SIM card, please let me know.

The title pretty much describes the issue; I am unable to sync Voice Memos with iTunes. Everything else seems to work fine. I am using an iPhone 4 and Windows 7. The voice memos are entirely intact on the iPhone and play fine. I usually manage to fix these sort of things quite easily I have the "Include voice memos" checkbox ticked. I have gone through all the things I can things of: I have reinstalled iTunes; restored the iPhone; unchecked/checked all the sync options. I would rather not have to use a third-party piece of software. Any ideas or is this quite a common problem?

I hope the vast MacRumors iPhone community will have some creative ideas about this, 'cause I'm stumped. I have a friend in the UK who has recently bought a 3G iPhone, and is enjoying it tremendously (being a PC user ;-). She also has an iPod Nano and a Griffin microphone, & uses these to record voice memos which are then compressed to .mp3 (in iTunes) and finally sent to me as attachments to e-mail messages. (I really appreciate this, as it cuts down on the amount of typing that's needed to communicate -!) Of course, this involves syncing her Nano with her laptop and attaching the .mp3 voice files to emails that she creates on the laptop. Right now the problem is that she is about to leave for a few weeks of cycle touring in Japan -- departing Wednesday, October 22 -- and would naturally much prefer to travel without a laptop. It wo

I have a fiarly large file that is from a lecture series that I wish to download on my computer. How do I locate and transfer this file in Windows? I have already tried the 'Include Voice Memos' option and do not get to see the Voice Memo Playlists in iTunes. Also, since this file is over 3hrs long in duration, there is no way that this can be mailed without loosing a considerable portion of it.

How can I save the voice memo files elsewhere? Where can I find them? Can they be opened in QuickTimw? Thanks!

I have 8 gigs of "other" on my phone and have been trying to get rid of it.  I now find that all the voice memos I have ever recorded are stored on the phone and I am unable to delelete them. (I have been recording lectures during two years of graduate school). They do not show up on the list of recordings in the voice memos app.--I deleted them lomg ago. They also do not/will not show up in my music library. I can not play any of them on my phone through any means ie playlists or individual recordings. I have now deleted the memos from my computer's library so I know they are not being synced from my computer. They are obviously stored on the iphone. The way I know they are still on the phone is by looking at "on this phone" in the new itunes OS 11. Here they are all listed under MUSIC---450 of them. I cannot delete them through this view. Ho

After the iOS6 install I noticed that all of my voice memos had been deleted. My entire list is blank. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how have you been able to correct and or restore the memos.

According to CNet France (English summary provided by Electronista ), iPhone 1.1.3 is set to arrive as early as this weekend, and will pack some commonly-requested features such as voice memo recording and disk mode. Quote: The disk feature behaves like the equivalent for iPods and will still block

I set my iPhone in Airplane Mode (to not have calls coming in) while recording a long business meeting using the new Voice Memos application under iPhone OS 3.0 with my one year old 3G. When I stopped recording the counter showed that I had been recording for about 3 hours and 13 minutes.I labeled my recording “Meeting” and it shows that my recording started 26/06/2009 at 13:30 (1:30PM).I was looking forward to become able to transfer my recording to my iMac or MacBook PRO.However, next time I opened the Voice Memos application and find my file correctly labeled Meeting 26/06/2009 13:30, the counter at the right (in front of the error) simply says 0s. Trying to play anything back produces no result, because the data seems to be gone (despite that the file name and date/time remains).Do anyone here have an idea of what could have happened? Maybe I ran into some kind of maximum recording time limit? But even so, I would have expected the recording to remai

Hi, My friend is overcapacity on your iPhone, and can't even sync at all to get voice memos off her iPhone to her computer. It says can't sync Photos. She is syncing songs with her iTunes library, I guess, it would be good idea to remove a bunch of songs from iTunes library on the computer so when it sync's it will remove those from iPhone. Or, would it better to manage music on the iPhone manualy and have them be removed. (Would this delete voice memos)I ask because the voice memos are important and we dont want to lose them. thanks for any advice

I have an Iphone 3G and would like to manually transfer the iPhone voice memos to my computer without having to sync it. The file is too big for the email fucntion.
