Find My Phone uses text messaging (SMS) to send commands to your phone in order to find, ring, lock, or erase it. Find My Phone can only send 15 text messages per month to your phone. To avoid this limit, you can set your phone to use push notifications instead of SMS. Push notifications can be faster than SMS, and they're not subject to the messaging fees that your mobile service provider might charge for text messages.
To turn on push notifications:
On Start. flick left to the App list, and then tap Settings .

Yes. If you remove your phone, you won't be able to find, ring, lock, or erase it, and you won't be able to purchase apps for that phone from Marketplace. You also won't be able to use My Phone to reinstall apps from the web.
If you change your mind later and decide you want to add your phone back to My Phone, you'll first have to reset your phone to factory settings, which will delete all of your content and settings.
